The campaign so far
Since it was launched in November 2014, the campaign has been featured in national newspapers and TV; it has generated lots of conversation, with lots of people to signing up to the campaign as a result!
Our members and supporters are spreading the word every day.
One group of campaign supporters, from Advocating Together (Dundee), wrote to their local council asking them to support the #bethechange campaign.
As a result the leaders of Dundee Council got together and signed the #bethechange declaration.
Thanks to all your letters to politicians so far, asking them to support the campaign, we have had lots of MSPs and MPs pledge their support.
Jackie Baillie MSP and Annabel Goldie MSP both presented Parliamentary Motions in support of the campaign in the Scottish parliament. 52 MSPs have supported these motions so far. Fiona O’Donnell MP presented a Motion at the UK Parliament. This has been supported by 15 MPs from across the UK.
Good news for #bethechange!
And finally, ENABLE Scotland has been invited to be part of a stakeholder group to review the Scottish Government’s national approach to bullying. This is a great opportunity for us to share what our members told us about bullying and why the #bethechange campaign was necessary.
